Introduction
Akkadavalli Shiva Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, located in the Akkadavalli village, Panruti circle, Cuddalore district, Tamil Nadu.Akkadavalli is eight km from Thuriyur. This small Shiva temple is in the eastern part, was destroyed and remained like that for many years, and then the temple stands again due to the efforts of the villagers. The Lord is in the East and the Goddess is in the South, And the lord’s name are not known. At the gate of the Lord’s house are Vinayagar and Murugan.Near the gate of the Lord’s house is Bairava, on a smaller scale, and on the other side are the Sun and the Moon. Nandi is in front of the Lord. Among Karurai Kotams are Tenmugan and Lingodbhava Durga. In the Palam temple, there is a single pot of lingam and Nandi. The Temple is believed to be 1000 years old.
