Introduction
Shiva Temple is located in Kathankadai village in the Kanchipuram district. This 1000year old Shiva temple is in a state of complete disrepair. The source is called Kailasanathar and Ambala is called Tripura Sundari. The temple has embossed sculptures on each pillar. It is said that there was a shrine in the temple and the present Shivalingam on it has been relocated. It is wonderful to have the Ashtadik bridges above the Maha Mandapam. Dwara Ganapati and Murugan give a wonderful view at every meeting Although the Rajagopuram is not there, it is a bald tower. If you walk 1/2 km to this temple, you will find Swami in the shade of a neem tree. Festivals like Pradosham, Shivaratri are celebrated.
