Introduction

Lingapura Forest is a small Village in Piriyapatna Taluk in Mysore District of Karnataka State, India. It comes under Lingapura Forest Panchayath. It belongs to Mysore Division. It is located 85 KM towards west from District head quarters Mysore. Sri Gaddige Mallikarjuna Swamy Hill Temple is dedicated to lord Shiva, and nandi placed outside the temple. The temple is in dilapidated condition. This shiva temple is located at back side of the Sri Siddeshwara temple. One needs to trek about 2km to reach the top of the hill. The place is surrounded with large trees. The temple is built by Kodava Family 70years ago. Nearby the temple there is a small Sri Ganapathi temple is located in same condition. The ganapathi idols is placed in the lingam. In parvati temple there is a small lingam and no other idol found there.
