Introduction
Lingattadi Shiva Temple is dedicated to lord Shiva, located in the Lingathadi Village, Tirumalairayan Pattinam circle, Karaikal district, Tamilnadu. The main NH32 Tirumalairayan Pattinam leads to Nagai, followed by a small road a few hundred meters to the left where the village of Keezhiyur is located. At the end of the town, the Lord is in a small tin shed on the right side of the road at Lingathadi village, Lord Shiva faces east. No other idol in the temple except broken ganesh in front of the lord. The Vijayanagara Empire created a great famine in the mid-fifteenth century, who built Shiva temples, many of which were destroyed over time.
