Puranic Significance
Lord Varuneswarar is towards the east and Goddess is towards the south. The name of the goddess is not known. Nandi is in the small hall before the Lord. At the gate of the sanctum there are small Ganesha and Murugan. Some vehicles are parked in the hall. They do not seem to belong to Shiva. There are only Thenmugan and Durga in the sanctum.
