Introduction

Kalpattu is a village located in the Lathur circle, Kanchipuram district, of Tamil Nadu, India. The south bank of a pond on the outskirts of the town in Kalpattu village near Bhavnagar on the Cheyyur-Madurantakam road. This Shivalingam temple was found. It is said that there was a temple at this place in ancient times. No pooja seems to be taking place here. The villagers do not seem to care. On the other side of the pond is the Muniswarar Temple.
