Introduction

Sites with Sita Devi, Lakshmanan and Anjaneyar in the Raman sanctum are rare in Tamil Nadu. Kalpadi Srikalyana Raman Temple is such a rare place. Kalpadi is located near Nagercoil in Kanyakumari district. It is about 15 km from Nagercoil in Kanyakumari district. From Nagercoil you can reach the flood market via Rajakamangalam and from there to Kalpadi. The Kalyana Ram Temple dates back to the 13th century. This temple was earlier worshiped by the devotees who worshiped at the Vellimalai Arulmigu Balasubramania Swamy Temple. The temple was consecrated 12 years ago for consecration. However, consecration has not yet taken place On behalf of the Department of Hindu Religious Affairs, 12 years ago the Kumbabhishekam was made a temple for the mission and the Swami was taken to Kumbha and kept in a separate place outside. Puranic Significance

This place got the name ‘Kaipidi’ as it is the hand holding site of Sri Rama Sita Devi. ‘Kalpidi’ in the course of time. Kalpadi Kalyana Ram Temple is surrounded by lush greenery with paddy fields and banana groves. The pond is located slightly away from the temple. The farmlands around the temple belong to the temple. There is a drinking water well near the temple. The water of this well is used for temple purposes.
