Introduction

Sri Kote Ranganatha Swamy temple is located in Belathur, Mandya Karnataka state of India. Mandya temples are famous ancient temples along which there are now unknown temples in Karnataka. Sri Kote Ranganatha Swamy temple is equivalent to tirupati, Tirupati Balaji temple. The temple is dedicated to Ranganatha swamy. The ancient Hoysala temple is said to have been built during the time of Hoysala king Veera Ballala III. The beauty of Ranganatha Swamy statue with Lakshmi engraved on his chest. The Ranganatha statue has three in one expression of happiness, anger and peace. Karnataka was taken up for renovation after demolishing the original temple which was in ruins. The present temple construction has been stopped mid-way for unknown reasons.
