It is located 8 km south of Mayiladuthurai at the Mangainallur crossroads. The road turns left before this intersection and goes to Kilianur. If you go 2km on that road there is Agaravallam and Vadakarai. Agarvallam is facing its impact. There is a Murugan site called Perambur near this Agaravallam. It is several centuries old and is mentioned in the inscriptions of the temple. This Temple may have been donated to the Anandas who were the priests of the temple. The present temple may date back to the time of the Nayaka kings. So it can be said to be three to four hundred years old. Today’s state of affairs with many glories is mind boggling. Trees have sprouted above the sanctuary. As the home hall collapsed and its walls cracked Searching for location. Lord Agatheeswarar has the sanctum facing east and the Goddess has the sanctum facing south. Nandi sees the sky falling completely from a conical hall in front of the Lord. At the gate of the sanctum sanctorum are Ganesha and Murugan.
Puranic Significance
He is also known as Agastya because he taught the morals of the universe. Custom means sin. Agastya means the removal of sin. He is called Agasthiyar because he removes the sins we have committed by karma, and Agathiyar is the Vaithiyar who is like the Agathi tree which removes any poison and removes it. It is impossible to say how ancient this site of worship was, since Rick was an Agathiyar in Vedic times. In front of the temple is a large pond of more than eight acres. The pond is the mirror that attracts the energy of the temple, so the temple is small but largely similar to the battery that absorbs energy. Agathiyar, who came from the south, is said to have worshiped 108 sites, one of which is the Agaravallam. The fact that this decay has occurred in the fifty years since 1970 is no exaggeration to say that it has occurred to all of us living in this period. # “With the kind permission of Sri Kadambur K.
