- Location: Singeeswarar Temple is located in Mappedu Village near Perambakkam in Thiruvallur District, Tamil Nadu.

Puranic Significance
- Legend: Named after Nandi Deva (Singhi), who played the Mridangam during Lord Shiva’s dance at Tiruvalangadu. Nandi’s devotion led Lord Shiva to recreate His dance at Meipedu (Mappedu).

- Construction: Built by Aditya Karikalan II in 976 AD; later enhancements by Dalavai Ariyanadha Mudaliar under Krishnadevaraya’s reign in 1501 AD.
