Introduction
- Location: Situated in Periyanaickenpalayam Town, Coimbatore North Taluk, Tamil Nadu, on the Coimbatore to Mettupalayam route.
Puranic Significance
- History: Believed to have been built in the 13th century CE and rebuilt in the 1970s.
- Literary Mention: The temple is mentioned in the hymns of Sivavakiya Siddhar, one of the 18 famous Siddhars.
- Ancient Name: The place was known as Koodalur in ancient times.

- Orientation: Facing east with a three-tiered rajagopuram (temple tower).
- Deepa Sthambam: Present in front of the rajagopuram.
- Presiding Deity: Lord Chokkalingeswarar, in the form of a Lingam.
