Introduction

Vadapathy Shiva Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, Located in the Vadapathy village, Mannargudi taluk, Thiruvarur district, Tamil Nadu. Vadapathy is a small village in Mannargudi taluk. There used to be a temple on the bank of the big pool in this northern part and after the decay of time, the lingam murthy was taken from it and a copper shed was placed separately. The facade has a Vinayaka Murthy and a Sandesar idol. It is heartbreaking to see that only the head of a broken ambikai near the Lord.  Here the Lord and mother name is not known, The Temple is believed to be 1000 years old.
