Introduction

Eravancheri Sri Viswanath Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, located in the Eravancheri village, Kilvelur circle, Nagapattinam district, Tamil Nadu. The Vishwanath Temple, which was in a dilapidated condition for many years, was flooded when the temple was blessed by the Lord. The Lord is towards the East and Ambigai is towards the South. There is a long front hall and outside it is a Nandi Mandapam. Vinayaka and Muruga have separate temples in Prakaram. Bhairava is in the northeast. There are no Koshtamurthys. The temple is surrounded by a beautiful wall. There is a big pond behind the temple. The Temple is believed to be 1000 years old.
