Introduction
Sri Trutiyadeba Temple (Jagannath Temple), Subarnapur, Cuttack Built 14th Century by Ganga Kings | Subarnapur | Near Ansupa Lake | Kataka (Cuttack) | Trutiyadeva Temple ( Jagannath Temple ) – Very near to the banks of River Mahanadi. Probably one of most closest replica of Jagannath temple in Puri – and very well preserved. This was built by Ganga Kings on the Kataka side in 14th Century. A Rekha vimana and pidha jagamohana of Kalingan order, some of the sculptures are ruins. Right outside the door jamb at jagamohana, there are two beautiful and intricate pillars standing independently without touching the roof. In the temple gopuram some plants are grown. These pillars are very ornately carved with flora and fauna. While exiting out of Ansupa Lake Picnic Place – towards the Banki Bridge, take a small road on the left towards Subarnapur village for 2 kilometres and take a right on the edge of the village towards the School. The temple is located right next to river Mahanadi
