    • Kaduveli Siddhar passed on his knowledge to the people, establishing this temple in honor of Lord Shiva and his divine experience.
    • Chola King is credited with building the temple about 2000 years ago, naming it after Kaduveli Siddhar.
    • This temple is dedicated to Akash (Space), one of the five elements, which is reflected in the temple’s name Akashapureeswarar.
  • Nandi’s Role in the Temple:
    • It is believed that Nandi, the divine bull vehicle of Lord Shiva, moved aside to allow Kaduveli Siddhar to approach Lord Shiva and receive his blessings.
    • The idol of Kaduveli Siddhar was not initially present in the temple, but it miraculously appeared when the temple was renovated in recent years.
