Introduction
Agastheeswarar Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva located at Killukudi Village in Kilvelur Taluk in Nagapattinam District of Tamil Nadu. Presiding Deity is called as Agastheeswarar and Mother is called as Shivagama Sundari. The Temple is considered as Thevara Vaippu Sthalam as Devaram hymns had a mention about this Temple. The place was called as Killikudi during ancient times. Completely Dilapidated Totally Neglected. If care is NOT taken and the temple is renovated it would collapse completely without any trace . Which would be a huge loss. This is a small west facing Temple. Presiding Deity is called as Agastheeswarar. He is housed in the sanctum in the form of Lingam and is facing west. Mother is called as Shivagama Sundari. She is housed in a separate shrine. There are shrines for Lord Murugan with his consorts Valli & Deivanai, Vinayaga and Bhairavar in the Temple premises.
