Introduction

            

               Pullamangalam Kashiviswanatha Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, located in the Pullamangalam village, Koothanallur circle, Thiruvarur District, Tamil Nadu. Kashi Vishwanathar Temple in Pullamangalam is about 500years old. Here the Primary deity is called as Kashi Viswanatha and Mother is called as Visalakshi.

  

Puranic Significance 

             According to villagers, this temple was last consecrated in 1940. Then it fell into disrepair without worshiping for many years. The people of the village have worked hard together and completed the work.

There is a history that this temple was built by Mangalarishi. This place is also associated with Jatayu, hence the name Mangalam is appropriate for this village. Lord-Kashivishwanath, Visalakshi are facing east side in the temple. The main gate is on the south side. The Karurai are Tenmugan in the south and Raja durga in the north. The Prakara sthalams are Vinayagar, Valli theivanai samethamurugan. In the north-east are the ancient Bhairava and Shani in the temple.
