Introduction
On the Sirkazhi-Sattanathapuram roundabout, turn east on the road to Thirunagari, 2 km ahead of Puthuthurai. The temple is located in Puthuthurai, a town in the Sirkazhi district . Puranic Significance
The names of UttamaChola (Madurantakan in the inscription), RajarajaChola (Sivapathasekaran in the inscription) and VickramaChola are mentioned. VikramChola was the last of them. His reign was AD. 1118-1135. VickramaChola, It can be concluded that it belongs to the 12th century.
