Introduction

Narikudi Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, located in the Narikudi village, Koothanallur circle, Thiruvarur district, Tamil Nadu. Narikudi is located at a distance of 7 km from Thiruvarur on the Thiruvarur – Mannarkudi road, crossing Punavasal on the south side of the Pandavai River. In Narikudi temple there are linga murthys and huge idols of Ganesha Murugan on the road side in a Tin shed towards the west side. There is also a Nandi opposite to the Lord. It can be assumed that there was once a big temple and it has fallen into disrepair. The Temple is believed to be 1000 years old.
