Introduction

Manniyar Thalaippu Kashiviswanathar Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, located in the Manniyar Thalaippu village, Papanasam Taluk, Thanjavur district, Tamil Nadu. The Maniyar is situated on the Kumbakonam-Thiruvayaru road and divides from the Cauvery into a small tributary in the north. The temple is situated under one of the big royal trees along the road. This is a Small Shiva Temple.

Here the Presiding deity is called as Kashi Viswanatha and Mother is called as Kashi Vishalakshi. The temple is facing east and goddess is facing south. Ganesha and Murugan are on either side of the sanctum sanctorum gate. Nandi is opposite to the lord. The Temple is believed to be 1000 years old.
