Introduction
This is a temple dedicated to Lord Ganesha. It was opened in 2011. In addition to Vinayagar, this temple also has shrines for Lord Muruga, Durga, Bhairava and Navgraha. Pujas are held daily in this temple located on George Eliot Road. This temple was established by the local devotees who had great love for Lord Vinayaka. The temple’s annual festival (devasthanam) starts with flag hoisting every year and continues for 10 days. The highlight of this annual event is the festival. Lord Vinayaka comes in a beautifully decorated chariot, pulled by devotees through the streets of the area. Hindu Art College, a wing of the temple, conducts regular art and language classes. They conduct various socio-cultural events.
