Introduction
Garh Dhanora is historically and religiously important Temple. It is located in Keshkal tehsil of Kondagaon district, Chhattisgarh. It is 2 km from Keshkal on Kondagaon-Keshkal main road. Ancient temples, Vishnu and other idols and stepwells of 5-6th century have been found in Garh Dhanora. Many Shiva temples have been found here on the excavation of Keshkal mounds. There are many Shivling on a mound situated here, it is famous as Gobarheen. This temple is having a huge shivalinga, and is completely ruins. And in the sanctum sanctorum the shivalinga has been enshrined. A huge fair is organized here on the occasion of Mahashivratri. There is also an old pond here, its specialty is that it never dries up and apart from this, its water keeps changing surprisingly in many colors. In this religious place, on the occasion of Mahashivratri and Sawan Monday, other districts like Kanker, Dhamtari are worshiped. Devotees also reach from other districts like Raipur.
