Introduction

Chidambaram Yogapureeswarar Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, located in the Chidambaram town, Cuddalore district, Tamil Nadu. There are thirty-two temples in Thillai, some of which have been destroyed, and some of the idols may be present in the temple. A few have become small temples, one of which is called Yogapureeswarar in the south side of the Chidambaram town. The location of this temple is after crossing Nandanar Boys High School on Sirkazhi Road and a few hundred meters to the left is Sreenivasatriman Mandapam. Take the small road next to it and take the first right. This is the small Shiva temple. Here the Lord is called as Yogapureeswarar and Mother is called as Parvati Devi. The Lord is towards the East and the Goddess is towards the South. There is a front hall in which Nandi is present. There are flowers all around the temple. The Temple is believed to be 1300 years old.
