Introduction
Bhilwara district in the state of Rajasthan, India and is surrounded by nature and waterfalls and is famous for Tapodaya Teerth Kshetra and Mandakini Temple. Mandakini temple is a perfect example of the Rajasthan architecture. The place is located off Kota Chittorgarh Highway at Bijolia. The Mandakini Temple is a complex constituting few ancient temples built of stone and man-made water pond. The complex is known as Mandakini Temple and gets its name from the water Pond. Here the Primary deity is Lord Shiva, in the form of lingam. The structures within the complex dating back to medieval times approximately from the late 5th to the late 15th centuries are currently in partial ruins, but still quite impressive temple. The structures are protected monuments and have been restored by ASI.
