Introduction
Location: Situated behind the Malola Narasimha Temple in Upper Ahobilam, approximately 500 meters through a forest and narrow path from the temple.Deity: This shrine is dedicated to Prahladha, the ardent devotee of Lord Vishnu.Puranic Significance:
- Also known as Prahladha Mettu.
- This cave is significant due to the legendary story where Prahlada was thrown by demons from the cliff. He fell through a cavern and was held by Lord Narayana.
- Prahladha is believed to have written the sacred mantras “Om Namo Narayana” and “Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya” on the rocks around the cave, and these transcendental letters are still visible today.
- The cave also houses Sri Yoga Narasimha, Sri Sudarshana, and Sri Narayana Murthy.
