Introduction

Ranasahi is a Village in Baleshwar Tehsil in Baleshwar District of Odisha State, India. It is located 8 KM towards East from District head quarters Balasore 8 KM from Baleshwar. 205 KM from State capital Bhubaneswar. Sri Krushneswara Shiva temple is Ancient temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. This temple is belonging to 18Th century CE. The temple are made of laterite block. Lord Shiva is center of paddy field. Hundreds of pilgrims gather at Krushneswara to worship the Lord. During Mahashivaratri, a colorful fair is held in the compound of the Baleswar Temple. The temple is partially Dilapidated condition. A Nandi bull is newly placed in the temple. Balasore district was part of the ancient Kalinga which later became a territory of Toshala or Utkal, till the death of Mukunda Dev. It was annexed by Moghuls in 1568 and remained as a part of their suzerainty up to the middle of eighteenth century.
