Introduction

Prasat Prang Ku is 10 kilometres from the district office. Prang Ku is a small Khmer site built of large laterite slabs. It is over a thousand years old. Prang Ku, or Prasat Nong Ku, is a complex of Khmer-style religious site ruins that once served as a hospice and medical facility originating from the 12th-13th century. It is dedicated to the Medicine Buddha. Its layout resembles an “Arogayasala” (which means hospital) – and comprises a main Prang (spire), a library, wall and entrance pavilions, and a pond outside of the walls. Puranic Significance

Many pieces of the castles are kept at Ban Ku temple Prang Ku Castle was built in Chaiworaman VII’s reign, the reign of the Khmer Empire.
