Introduction
Phnom Chhnork is a Shiva cave temple in Kampot Province, southern Cambodia, located about (6 kilometers north-east of Kampot. The temple was built in the 7th century from Funan brick, dedicated to Shiva. It is accessed through stone steps. Within the main chamber stands a remarkable 7th-century (Funan-era) brick temple. The ancient stalactite that serves as a linga (phallic symbol). A slippery passage, flooded in the rainy season, leads through the hill.
