Introduction

Shri Buddhalinga Temple – Choudwar, Kataka (Cuttack). This is an 11th Century temple built by the Somavamshis, the presiding deity is Lord Siva. The architectural features and inscription engraved at the door jambs indicate to be built in 11th century A.D. i.e. the late Somavamsi rule. There a pond right in front of the temple as well. The temple sculptures, idols are dilapidated condition. Not very far away, this place is in Choudwar. Take the Jobra Bridge, and head towards ITI – Choudwar. Head east towards OTM Colony, Jaibahirava Nuagarh road. Take a left from the highway and keep going straight till you reach the unmanned crossing
