Introduction

Chidambaram Sri Eesanyalingeswarar Temple is dedicated to lord Shiva, located in the Chidambaram city, Cuddalore district, Tamilnadu. Similarly, around the Thillaiperunkoil, there were thirty-two Dikku temples. One of the few that still exists today is the Eesanyalingam. Here the presiding deity is called as Eesanyalingeshwarar. There is a sixteen-foot hall here. Lingamurthy, who was in the big temple which was ruined by time, is now the lord facing west in this small hall. Nearby Ambika is facing south. Ambika name is not known. There is a Nandi before the Lord. To the south is a Samharapiravar shrine. If this Lord is worshiped, the mind will be united. “With the kind permission of Sri Kadambur K.
