Introduction

Sri Sakleshwara Mandir is located in the Ambejogai village, Maharashtra, India. This ruineded temple is dedicated to lord Shiva as Sakleshwara. The Nandi is placed outside the hall. The temple with its many pillars, stood in a dilapidated condition for long, Colloquially the temple was named by the locals as “Bara Khamba temple”. There are many pillars standing outside hall. 12 pillars are the most prominent and beautifully carved out of the temple. The temple is under the Archaeological Survey of India. The temple is ravaged by time, not visited at all. Almost taken over by wild trees and elements of nature.
