Introduction

Parasurameswarar Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva located at Vegamangalam Village near Sirukarumbur in Vellore District of Tamilnadu. There are ten temples around Kanchipuram where Lord Vishnu worshipped Lord Shiva in his ten avathars. This Temple is one of those that correspond to Parasurama Avathaar. The temple is said to be more than 1300 years old.
