Introduction

Venkatesa Perumal Temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu located at Valasaravakkam, a well-known locality in Chennai City of Tamil Nadu. The Temple is situated in Devi Kuppam Road. The Temple is believed to be 600 years old. This temple is a recently rebuilt and consecrated one. Though small, this temple has a large number of devotees particularly from Porur, Valasaravakkam, Alapakkam, Madhuravoyal, KK Nagar and Virugambakkam areas. It’s almost flooded with devotees in the Tamil months of Purattaasi (September – October) and Margazhi (December –January). The Temple is located at about 400 meters from Ganga Nagar Bus Stop. Valasaravakkam is well connected to other parts of Chennai via Bus.
