Introduction

Vaipur Adakeswarar Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, Located in the Vaipur village, Thiruvarur circle, Thiruvarur district, Tamil Nadu. Here the Presiding deity is Adakeswarar and Mother is called as Anandavalli. Vaipur village is 14 km on Thiruvarur – Nagursalai road. There were many temples of Lord Shiva in this town, one temple is in good condition but this temple at the end of the street is dilapidated, they have built a tin shed temple with the lingam Vinayagar Bhairava from it and named the Lord as Adakeshwar and the Mother as Ananda Valli and set up a Nandi altar for worship. The temple is said to be more than 800 years old.
