Introduction

Varadaraja Perumal Temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu located in Unjanai Village in Tiruchengode Taluk in Namakkal District in Tamil Nadu. The temple is believed to be built by the Pandyas. The temple is said to be more than 1500 years old. The temple is located at about 100 metres from Unjanai Bus Stop, 32 Kms from Namakkal and 120 Kms from Coimbatore Airport. The temple is situated on Namakkal to Tiruchengode route.

Puranic Significance

This temple is facing towards east. The temple consists of sanctum and mukha mandapam.The sanctum enshrines an image of Varadaraja Perumal with his consorts Sridevi and Bhoodevi. There are shrines for Garuda and Anjaneya in the temple premises.
