Introduction

Thirukkandeeswaram Irattai Lingeswara Temple is dedicated to lord Shiva, located in the Thirukkandeeswaram, Panruti circle, Cuddalore district, Tamilnadu. The Temple was built 1500 years ago. It is also said that Paranthakacholan, Rajarajacholan, Rajendracholan, Kulothungacholan, Chalavanarasimman, are the people who visited this temple. Towards the west, in the north-west part, Irattai lingas are worshiping. They sit on the cement floor under a big tree without a roof and await the arrival of devotees.
