Introduction

Senthilandavar Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva located at Thiruchendur in Thoothukudi District of Tamil Nadu. Presiding Deity is called as Senthilandavar. Kandhamaadhana (A part of the Thiruchendur Murugan Temple). Buses for Thiruchendur are available from Madurai, Tirunelveli and Thoothukudi. There is also a direct train from Chennai to Thiruchendur. Senthilandavar Temple is located on the north side of the Perumal Temple, like a small hill made of sand. The Temple is believed to be 1000 years old. The Temple is considered as Thevara Vaippu Sthalam as Devaram hymns sung by Appar.
