Lord Duga is built of black stone from the Chola period and the sanctum sanctorum with vimana gives a different view. The facade has a conical arthamandapam. There may have been a Mahamandapam before that, now a tin shed has been erected. Opposite it is Nandi in a small hall. There is a sculpture that tells a story. In this town, two deities were born as a cow and a calf. It is said that the cow was bitten by a snake one day and died, and the Lord turned into a cow and protected it, hence the Lord is called the cow. It is also said that cow is worshiped with God.
