Introduction

Thattampalayam Pragatheeswarar Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, located in the Thattampalayam village, Panruti circle, Cuddalore district, Tamil Nadu. Thattampalayam is a small village, in a town with many types of temples, there is an Iyanar temple in a large area, which is currently a Linga Pratishtha. Here the presiding deity is called as Lord Pragatheeswarar, and Mother is called as Pragannayagi.

The Temple is believed to be 1000 years old. Here the lord Pragatheeswarar, who has been his own lingam for many years, is today accompanied by Ambikai Vinayagar Murugan sanaicharan, Navagraha, Tenmugan and Durgai in a large copper shed. Opposite are the Nandi and the altar outside the shed. All the idols except the lingamurthy are newly created.
