Introduction
T.Neduncheri Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, located in the T.Neduncheri village, Kattumannarkoil circle, Cuddalore district, Tamil Nadu. T. Neduncheri is located at the 10 km of the road from Kattumannarkoil to Chidambaram via Veeranam Lake. The south side of the road is called T. Puttur and the north side is called T. Neduncheri. Four kilometres east of Veeranarayan Lake is the Shiva Temple. The temple is situated on ten cents of land. Here the Presiding deity is called as Lord Shiva.The temple pond and the rest of the places opposite the temple have become school buildings. Above the entrance there is a statue of a bull and beyond it there is a Kodimaravinayagar Nandi altar.
Puranic Significance
The Temple is believed to be 1000 years old. Here the Lord is small and big Lingamurthy. Karurai Kottam has only Vinayagar Tenmugan. Durga is in north. Vinayagar in the southwest and Murugan in the northwest have beautiful sanctums. Adjacent to the Murugan shrine is a small temple of Lakshmi. On the north side there is a big vanni tree, under which there is a snake. In the north-east corner are Navagraha and Kalabhairava shrine. The temple is worshiped and Maintained by Gurus belonging to Chidambaram.
