Introduction

The Narbadeshwar Temple is situated in Sujanpur Tira, which is approximately 22 kilometers from Hamirpur town and about 41 kilometers from Jwalamukhi temple town in Himachal Pradesh.

The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, and the primary deity enshrined in the sanctum sanctorum is a Shivling, representing Lord Shiva.

Puranic Significance:

The temple was constructed by Maharani Pransani Devi, the wife of Sansar Chand Katoch, in the year 1802. The architectural style of the temple follows the Panchayatan style, which involves the central shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva along with four subsidiary shrines.
The temple’s walls are adorned with paintings that depict scenes from the Indian epics, the Mahabharata and the Ramayana.
