- Legend: Lord Muruga tested the Tamil poet and saint Avvaiyar here. When Avvaiyar was tired and asked for fruits from a boy sitting on a tree, the boy’s response and actions revealed his divine nature. The boy, who was Lord Muruga in disguise, later revealed his true identity to Avvaiyar.
- Significance: This encounter with Avvaiyar emphasized Lord Muruga’s divine wisdom and grace.
