Location: Sathyamangalam, Erode District, Tamil Nadu.

Deity: The temple is dedicated to Angala Parameshwari, a form of the Adi Shakti goddess.

Age: The temple is believed to be over 600 years old.

Puranic Significance:

  • Four devotees from Mysore set out to build a temple for Angala Parameshwari.
  • They carried the idol of the goddess from Malayanur and soil from her power spot.
  • On their way to Mysore, they stopped at Komarapalayam in Sathyamangalam for Sandhya Vandanam by the Bhavani River.
  • The idol became immovable at that spot, which led the devotees to understand that the goddess had chosen the location for her temple.
  • A small temple was built at this spot where the idol was enshrined.

  • Vasantha Mandapam: Features a procession of decorative pillars with a Kanni corner and Ganesha Sannidhi.
