Introduction
Puzhuthikudi Thirumulanathar Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, Located in the Puzhuthikudi village, Thiruvidaimarudur circle, Thanjavur district, Tamil Nadu.A beautiful brick temple with a three-tiered front tower and a roof temple, now in ruins. There is a sanctum sanctorum to the east, a lingam is placed in place of the Ambigai idol in the south Sanctum, Here the Presiding deity is called as Thirumulanathar and Mother is called as Soundaryanayaki.Behind the prakara there are Ganesha and Murugan Mahalakshmi shrines. The temple is said to be more than 1500 years old. There is no Ganesha in the Ganesha shrine, only a hand holding a conch at the gate of the Ganesha shrine, the Trunk is missing. This temple, which has many such idols, is in a sub-temple of Thiruvaduthurai Mutt.
