Introduction
Go to Kuthralam near Mayiladuthurai and from there on the way to West Thirumanancheri a little road a km earlier will take you west and it will take you to Nagamangalam. There is a small street along the main road and a street next to it. The Shiva temple is along the main road. There is a pond in front of the temple. The temple faces east and Lord Sundareswarar sits as a beautiful lingamurthy. Goddess Meenakshi has a shrine facing south. There are separate shrines to Ganesha, Murugan and Mahalakshmi in Prakaram. There is only Tenmugan in the line. Durga is the only place in the north. The Sandesar Sanctuary is the best. Unseen in many large temples. In the Northeast, Chaturmukhi (maybe Brahmi) Meenakshi Daksanamoorthy, Bhairavar, Nagar Saturn, Sun are on a long platform. 1938-1946-1999-11. Currently the temple is in a state of disrepair and without proper worship. The wall has seen crumbling cracks. We have wasted the treasure that our forefathers had preserved for three hundred years by a few years of negligence. Gurus, attendants, Mangala musicians, reciters, florists, interpreters, bell ringers, known as temple dwellers who worship Shiva Maniyar, who protects the temple lands, said that we had failed to protect them and they had left the villages and sought other employment.
