Introduction

Panchanatheeswarar Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, Located in the Koothanallur Taluk, Thiruvarur district, Tamil Nadu. Here the Presiding deity is called as Panchanatheeswarar and Mother is called as Dharma Samvardini. This Shiva Temple is located on the side of Tirumpipandawai River. Now this temple is known as Kutambai Nayanar temple. Here the Lord is in the form of a huge lingam, with a Nandi in front of him. Ambikai is facing south side. There are no Koshta murthys outside, and no Sandesar. There is a well in the north-east side of the temple. This temple is known for solving problems in family life. The temple is said to be more than 1000 years old.
