Introduction
The temple is located in the Anavatti road, Kubaturu, Karnataka state, India. This shiva temple is completely dilapidated condition. The primary deity is Lord Shiva as Ramesvara, and nandi placed outside the temple. The other murtis and snake idols are kept under the tree. Ramesvara temple, a Rashtrakuta venture built in circa 900 AD, is located nearly 50 m north of Parasvanatha Basti. The temple has a sandhara garbhagriha and a pillared mukhamandapa in front, all in east-west orientation. The ceilings to the east and west of the central ceiling have good sculptural depictions of padma. In the region of navaranga are placed a large saptamatrika panel and a fine sculpture of Mahishamardini. On the exterior, the walls are plain. A rare inscription in the temple refers to major forms of medieval Indian temples.
