Introduction

Keelmanakudi Viswanathar Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, Located in the Keelmanakudi village, Bhuvanagiri circle, Cuddalore district, Tamil Nadu. Keelmanakudi village is west of Chidambaram. The previous temple here has fallen into disrepair and the Shiva Lingam has been erected in a shed near the Ganesha temple. There is also a Daksanamurthy towards the south. Here the presiding deity is called as Lord Vishwanath and Mother is called as Vishalakshi. The temple is said to be more than 1000 years old.
