Introduction
Katchukattu Agnimahalingam Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, located in the Katchukattu village, Thiruvidaimaruthur circle, Thanjavur district, Tamil Nadu. Katchukattu village is connected by a small bridge connecting the two villages. There is a Shiva temple facing east and there is a big pond in front of the temple. The gate to the temple is on the south side. Here the Presiding deity is called as Agnimahalingam in the form of lingam and Mother is called as Karpagambal. The lord is towards the east and Ambikai is towards the south. There are Ganesha and Murugan in the sanctums. In front of the temple gate is a big Neem tree. The Temple is believed to be 1000 years old.
