Introduction
Revanna Siddeshwara Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva located in Kalale Village in Nanjangud Taluk in Mysore District in the Indian state of Karnataka. Kalale was the political and cultural capital of Kalale Dalavoys / Chiefs of Kalale. The temple is believed to be built in 15th Century. This temple is situated close to Kalale Lakshmikantha Swamy Temple. This temple is facing towards east and completely enclosed within compound wall. Nandi and Balipeedam can be found facing towards the sanctum. The temple consists of sanctum, ardha mandapa, maha mandapa and open mukha mandapa. The mukha mandapa is supported by four pillars and four pilasters. The sanctum enshrines the presiding deity, Revanna Siddeshwara in the form of Shiva Linga.
The temple is located at about 500 metres from Kalale Bus Stand, 8 Kms from Nanjangud Town Railway Station and 21 Kms from Mysuru Airport. The temple is situated immediately after Nanjangud on Mysuru to Ooty route.
